Despite a number of challenges, including problematic access to my stand, they pulled the project off extremely well. No unnecessary clearing, careful setup, and the footprint is exactly what we agreed.
What impressed me most was how they handled my very constrained budget. They remained patient and committed and continuously found creative solutions to keep the design looking good and did not cut corners on the touches that matter.
Particularly impressive was how they did not allow geographical distance (their being based in Somerset West, and my stand in faraway Kleinbaai next to Gansbaai) to interfere with their delivery and presence on site.
To summarize, I experienced the entire team at Smartmod as professional, creative and committed in terms of problem-solving, consistently considerate and patient, and genuinely committed to excellence. (PS The fact that my little house in the wood was able to hold its own during the most recent Mega Storms that lashed our area and caused widespread damage - with not ONE single issue or leak - was for me final testimony to a job fantastically well done!)
I can fully recommend Smartmod and their entire team if you want to have peace of mind and know that your project is in capable, committed hands right through to the end.

(Addendum to SmartMod's response: No amicable solution was offered. The "amicable solution" was that I should wait until there is a new legal regulation permitting the construction of container homes. This is neither customer-friendly nor acceptable, as this is an unknown factor that could take months to develop. Furthermore, I have not received any survey documents, even though I requested them. Fraudulent. Unfortunately, a person's true character only comes to light when money is involved. Incidentally, I never signed a contract and therefore did not violate any regulations. My mistake was trusting these people and sending money without any security. You live and learn...)
